It's playoff time, and Cape Elizabeth had no trouble coming through when it counted. Their defense stepped up to hand the Leavitt Hornets a 5-0 shutout on Tuesday. Cape Elizabeth might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matches by three goals or more this season.

They hit Leavitt with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Noelle Mallory (3), Alexa Mallory, and Haisel McGeachey.

Cape Elizabeth's victory bumped their record up to 15-0. As for Leavitt, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4-1.

As of now, neither Cape Elizabeth nor the Hornets have any future games scheduled.
