Volleyball Preview: Pomona Panthers vs. Littleton Lions        
        
		
            The Pomona Panthers are taking a road trip to  face off against the Littleton Lions  at 6:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Littleton took a loss in their last  contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Pomona, who comes in off a win.
Having struggled with three  defeats in a row, Pomona  turned things around against Wheat Ridge  on Monday. They walked away with  a   3-1  victory over the Farmers.
 Pomona was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-13, 11-25,  25-19.
Meanwhile,  it was a proper cat-fight when Littleton challenged D'Evelyn on Monday. The Lions took  a  3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jaguars. Lions fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Jaguars since  Monday.
 The  loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive:  D'Evelyn scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-18, 22-25,  25-20.
 Littleton has  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record  this season. As for Pomona, their win bumped their record up to 4-17.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of  Wednesday's  matchup:  Pomona has really dialed in their serving  this season,  having  averaged 8.9  aces per game. However, it's not like Littleton struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 6.9  aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
