Football Game Recap: Palma Chieftains vs. Hughson Huskies

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Palma Chieftains walked away with it. They walked away with a 31-21 win over the Huskies on Saturday. Palma's victory was all the more impressive since Hughson was averaging only 17.86 points allowed on the season.

Several Huskies players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alexander Villarreal, who rushed for 125 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries. Villarreal is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played. Robert Mcdaniel was another key contributor, throwing for 123 yards and two touchdowns.

Palma has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Hughson, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 10-4.

Palma does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hughson also has no future games currently scheduled.
