Soccer Recap: Marcos de Niza Takes a Loss

Marcos de Niza pushed their score to zero the last time they played Mesquite, but on Monday they couldn't quite do it again. The Marcos de Niza Padres fell just short of the Mesquite Wildcats by a score of 1-0. The Padres haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Marcos de Niza's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8-1. As for Mesquite, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 4-9.

Marcos de Niza will host Cactus Shadows at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cactus Shadows will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Marcos de Niza surely won't give up without a fight. Mesquite does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
