Volleyball Recap: St. Ursula Academy's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Mount Notre Dame came into Thursday's contest looking for another win against St. Ursula Academy, but Emma Frietch wouldn't allow it. The Bulldogs came out on top against Mount Notre Dame by a score of 3-1 on Thursday with plenty of help from Frietch, who had 18 digs and four aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last five games she's played.

St. Ursula Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-23, 25-22, 25-18.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Ursula Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Belle Haas, who had 11 digs.

Mount Notre Dame lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Charlie Hatfield, who had 13 digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Addy Wolfer, who had 14 digs.

The victory was the third in a row for St. Ursula Academy, bringing their record up to 11-6. As for Mount Notre Dame, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-7.
