It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Westminster Schools of Augusta had no problem doing just that on Friday. They walked away with an 86-78 victory over the Piedmont Academy Cougars. The Wildcats' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

India Williams continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 61 points. That makes it 18 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Westminster Schools of Augusta's points. Carolina Jordan was another key player, posting 11 points.

Despite the loss, Piedmont Academy still got an impressive performance from Marissa Holder, who dropped a double-double with 30 points and 12 boards. The game was Holder's 21st in a row with at least 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylee Keck, who almost dropped a double-double with 19 points and nine rebounds.

The win was the fifth in a row for Westminster Schools of Augusta, bringing their record for this year to 19-6. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.2 points over those games. As for Piedmont Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 23-6.

Looking ahead, Westminster Schools of Augusta will challenge John Milledge Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Piedmont Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
