Volleyball Recap: May River Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bluffton, May River was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Bridges Prep Buccaneers 3-2. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Sharks as it put an end to their eight-match losing streak.

May River had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-27, 25-27, 25-16, 25-20, 22-20.

May River's victory bumped their record up to 8-16. As for Bridges Prep, they dropped their record down to 1-13 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home.

May River does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bridges Prep, they are taking a road trip to take on Hilton Head Island at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
