Soccer Recap: Mansfield Legacy Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mansfield Legacy can now relate to. They lost 10-1 to the Southlake Carroll Dragons on Friday. While losing is never fun, Mansfield Legacy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 140th, while Southlake Carroll are ranked sixth).

Mansfield Legacy has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-8-3 record this season. The win (which was Southlake Carroll's fifth in a row) raised their record to 20-1-2.

Mansfield Legacy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Southlake Carroll, they will face off against Frenship at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southlake Carroll's defense better be ready for this one: Frenship has averaged an impressive 3.4 goals per game this season.
