Mount Desert Island had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.5 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They claimed a resounding 68-30 victory over the Bucksport Golden Bucks. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 20 points or more this season.

Mount Desert Island's win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2. As for Bucksport, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mount Desert Island will square off against Ellsworth at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mount Desert Island knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Ellsworth likes a good challenge. As for Bucksport, they will face off against Houlton at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
