Basketball Recap: Nodaway Valley Comes Up Short

Nodaway Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost to the Shenandoah Mustangs at home by a 72-55 margin. While losing is never fun, the Wolverines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 233rd, while the Mustangs are ranked 49th).

Nodaway Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Shenandoah, the victory was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-2.

Nodaway Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Shenandoah will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Treynor on February 21, 2026. Treynor will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Shenandoah surely won't give up without a fight.
