The Ross Rams will take on the East Central Trojans at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Ross not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since May 6, 2025 (when they won 19-7). They were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over Edgewood.

Josi Alvis and Kenley Bulach did most of the damage at the plate: Alvis went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs and one double, while Bulach went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and one run. Those three hits gave Bulach a new career-high. Kam Commins was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
Ross was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask East Central). They put the hurt on Batesville with a sharp 16-3 win on Monday. With that victory, the Trojans brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.
Paige Hotze was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Taylor Sommer, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Chloe Feldmann, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases and three runs.
Ross' win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-6. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for East Central, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Ross hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .325. However, it's not like East Central struggles in that department as they've averaged .343. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
