Soccer Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Upland

Upland's game on Monday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Chino Cowboys. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Highlanders/Scots also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2016.

Maddux Lozano and Nicholas Giron scored all three of Upland's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Upland, bringing their record for this year to 5-1-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those four games. As for Chino, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 1-5-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Upland will face off against Rancho Cucamonga at 6:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. As for Chino, they will challenge Ayala at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Ayala is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.9 goals per game this season.
