Soroco gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They put the hurt on the Olathe Pirates with a sharp 3-0 win. The Rams were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Pirates, so the Rams were just returning the favor.
While Soroco won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-21, 26-24.
Kolbie Pierce paced Soroco's offense, picking up nine kills. Pierce got some help from Makinly Long and her 11 assists. Ceci Gregory controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
