Basketball Recap: Selma Comes Up Short

Selma lost against Dinuba back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Selma Bears took a blow against the Dinuba Emperors, falling 74-31. The Bears were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-17.

Selma has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-22 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.9 points over those games. As for Dinuba, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a massive bump to their 16-11 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Selma will square off against Kingsburg at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Dinuba, they will challenge Mission Oak at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Dinuba is facing Mission Oak at the right time seeing as Mission Oak is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
