Volleyball Recap: Corona Del Sol Falls Short Against Ranked Cornerstone Christian

Corona del Sol is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Cornerstone Christian. The Aztecs took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. The Aztecs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2021.

Hayden Conner paced Corona del Sol's offense, picking up nine kills. Conner got some help from Adelyn Chang and her 17 assists. Erin Clark controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

This is the second loss in a row for Corona del Sol and nudges their season record down to 18-2. As for Cornerstone Christian, the win (which was their 22nd in a row) raised their record to 26-3.

Corona del Sol didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against 'Iolani on the 20th. As for Cornerstone Christian, they will square off against Westlake at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
