Softball Recap: Hewitt-Trussville Falls Short Against Ranked Helena

Hewitt-Trussville faced Helena in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Hewitt-Trussville fell just short of Helena by a score of 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Hewitt-Trussville has suffered since March 18th.

Corey Goguts and Zaylen Tucker stepped up to the plate in a big way. Goguts went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Tucker got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Ava Hyde, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
