Pittsfield proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by ten) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-8 victory over the Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia Trojans. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 9, 2022, but that streak is no more.
The team relied heavily on Lila Simon, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, two doubles, and one triple. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Josie McClintock, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.
