Football Recap: Tazewell Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Tazewell was the 49-36 winner over Grayson County when they last played one another back in September of 2016, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs took a blow against the Blue Devils on Friday, falling 45-3. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-3.

Grayson County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Makray Goad out in front who rushed for 46 yards and one touchdown, and also caught one TD. Another rusher making a difference was Parker Dowell, who gained 53 total yards and two touchdowns.

Tazewell's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Grayson County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tazewell will square off against Union at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Grayson County, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Floyd County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
