Basketball Recap: Bethel Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Bethel put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 60-50 win over the Tecumseh Arrows. While the Bees didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Bethel had a senior duo take command as Cameron Ahrens dropped a double-double on 21 points and 13 boards and Michael Halleg went 8 of 13 on his way to 17 points and five rebounds. With that strong performance, Ahrens is now averaging an impressive 8.5 rebounds per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonas Friend, who posted eight points.

Bethel's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.7 points per game. As for Tecumseh, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Bethel didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 55-43 win against Covington on the 10th. As for Tecumseh, they will be playing in front of their home fans against London at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
