Volleyball Recap: Piedmont Hills Falls Despite Big Games from Alexis Musselwhite and Katelyn Young + How To Watch

Piedmont Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Evergreen Valley Cougars. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Pirates have suffered since September 23rd.

While Piedmont Hills ultimately came up short, they really made Evergreen Valley work, particularly in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-14, 27-25.

Piedmont Hills' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Katelyn Young, who had 11 assists and four digs, and Alexis Musselwhite, who had eight digs and seven kills. Musselwhite is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last four games she's played. Elliot Hanley also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Piedmont Hills' record now sits at 10-14. As for Evergreen Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 16-10.
