Basketball Recap: Mountain View Wins Going Away Against San Diego

Mountain View's tournament run continued when they took on San Diego on Thursday. The Toros blew past the Cavers 58-33.

Several Cavers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Seniaah Simms, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds. Simms has become a key player for San Diego: the team is 2-1 when she posts at least ten boards, but 2-3 otherwise. Shanti Glenn was another key player, putting up nine points and three steals.

The win got Mountain View back to even at 1-1. As for San Diego, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

Mountain View will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for San Diego, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Westview at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
