Softball Recap: China Spring Snags Seventh Win in Last Eight Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Franklin, China Spring was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the Coldspring-Oakhurst Trojans. While the Cougars didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-21-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

China Spring let Sophia Garcia and Brooklyn Jamerson run wild. Garcia went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Jamerson scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Jaelynn Faulkner, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

China Spring was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .450. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in three consecutive contests.

China Spring is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. With the loss, Coldspring-Oakhurst broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-5.
