Baseball Recap: NorthWood Comes Up Short

NorthWood and Plymouth pushed the score to 12-8 the last time they played Plymouth, but on Friday defenses reigned supreme. The Panthers fell just short of the Pilgrims/Rockies by a score of 2-1. The match marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

NorthWood saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Bogan, who went 2-for-6 with one run and one double.

NorthWood has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season. As for Plymouth, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. NorthWood will welcome La Porte at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Slicers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Plymouth, they will face off against Northridge at 5:45 p.m. on Monday.
