Volleyball Recap: Roger Bacon Takes a Loss

Roger Bacon lost against Archbishop McNicholas back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Spartans lost 3-0 to the Rockets.

Roger Bacon couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Archbishop McNicholas a tough time in the first set. The final score came out to 34-32, 25-17, 25-15.

When it comes to explaining why Roger Bacon lost, don't look at Alex Weigand. Despite the final result, he had 31 assists. Weigand is on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 16 or more in each of the last 16 games he's played.

Roger Bacon has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-9 record this season. As for Archbishop McNicholas, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 17-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roger Bacon will challenge Mason at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Archbishop McNicholas, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Loveland at 6:00 p.m.
