Basketball Recap: Salem Comes Up Short

Salem was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 58-56 heartbreaker at the hands of the Miller Grove Wolverines. The Seminoles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolverines apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2021.

Salem's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Miller Grove, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 7-9.

Salem will square off against South Atlanta at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Miller Grove, they will challenge Drew Charter at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Miller Grove's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
