Basketball Game Preview: Owen J. Roberts Wildcats vs. Pottsgrove Falcons

Owen J. Roberts and Pottsgrove are an even 3-3 against one another since January of 2015, but not for long. The Owen J. Roberts Wildcats will take on the Pottsgrove Falcons in a holiday battle at at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Owen J. Roberts has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

While Owen J. Roberts didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They enjoyed a cozy 75-61 win over Antietam on Saturday. The Wildcats' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Pottsgrove fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Phoenixville on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Phantoms 74-70. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Phantoms recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Owen J. Roberts is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for Pottsgrove, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Owen J. Roberts beat Pottsgrove 58-47 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Will Owen J. Roberts repeat their success, or does Pottsgrove have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
