Baseball Game Preview: Castle Park Trojans vs. Southwest SD Raiders

The Castle Park Trojans will venture away from home to square off against the Southwest SD Raiders at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Castle Park has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 8.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Castle Park's offense. They lost 10-0 to Chula Vista on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Southwest SD also failed to score in their most recent game. They fell just short of Mar Vista by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sebestian Martinez was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one stolen base.

Southwest SD now has a losing record of 10-11-1. As for Castle Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-15.

Castle Park beat Southwest SD 8-5 when the teams last played back in March. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
