Softball Preview: Robbinsdale Cooper Hawks vs. DeLaSalle Islanders        
        
		
            
 The Robbinsdale Cooper Hawks will head out on the road to  square off against  the DeLaSalle Islanders at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. Robbinsdale Cooper will be strutting in after a  victory while DeLaSalle will be coming in after a  defeat.
 Robbinsdale Cooper is headed into the  game fresh off scoring the most  runs they have all season. They blew past Johnson 21-3. The high-scoring effort was just what Robbinsdale Cooper needed considering they were shutout in their previous   matchup.
 Meanwhile, DeLaSalle was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight  loss. They fell just short of Orono by a score of  8-7.
  Eva Heinecke was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She  pitched six innings while giving up just one earned  (and seven unearned) runs off   nine  hits. Heinecke has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run every time she's  pitched this season. Heinecke was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Elina Ditty and  Claire Anderson stepped up to the plate in a big way.  Ditty  scored a  run while going 2-for-3, while  Anderson  scored three  runs while going 3-for-3.  Lucia Anderson was another key contributor,  going 1-for-4 with two  RBI and a  double.
 Robbinsdale Cooper's win bumped their record up to 2-9. As for DeLaSalle, they now  have a losing record at 7-8.
 Robbinsdale Cooper might still be hurting after the  20-3 defeat they got from DeLaSalle  in their previous matchup  back in April of 2023. Can Robbinsdale Cooper avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
