Basketball Game Preview: Buffalo Gap Bison vs. Staunton Storm

The Buffalo Gap Bison will take on the Staunton Storm at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Buffalo Gap has struggled recently with five defeats in a row, while Staunton will arrive with eight straight wins.

On Friday, Buffalo Gap had to suffer through a 72-36 loss at the hands of Riverheads.

Meanwhile, Staunton slipped by Broadway 58-57 on Thursday. Given the Storm's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 65th, while the Gobblers are ranked 314th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Staunton pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points per game. As for Buffalo Gap, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
