Basketball Recap: Wabash Takes a Loss

Wabash was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 22nd straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Whitko Wildcats, falling 47-27. The Apaches were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Whitko's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chandler Cox, who posted 12 points and five boards. Riley Harman was another key player, on his way to 9 points.

Wabash's loss dropped their record down to 0-21. As for Whitko, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-14.

Looking ahead, Wabash will look to defend their home court on February 28th against Peru at 7:45 p.m. Whitko has already played their next matchup (against Churubusco), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
