Soccer Game Preview: Westview vs. Rancho Bernardo

Westview and Rancho Bernardo are an even 4-4-2 against one another since January of 2020, but likely not for long. The Westview Wolverines are taking a road trip to square off against the Rancho Bernardo Broncos at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Westview will be strutting in after a victory while Rancho Bernardo will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Thursday, Westview beat Mission Hills 3-1. The win was all the more spectacular given the Wolverines' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 198th, while the Grizzlies are ranked 35th).

Westview hit Mission Hills with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ariyan Sharifi, Laith Khoury, and Jayden Williams.

Meanwhile, Rancho Bernardo has been on a difficult stretch since their win on January 10. They fell just short of Del Norte by a score of 2-1 on Thursday.

Westview now has a winning record of 6-5-4. As for Rancho Bernardo, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4-3.
