Basketball Recap: South Christian Skates Past Wayland with Ease

South Christian was handed a heart-breaking two-point loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Wayland on Friday. The South Christian Sailors simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Wayland Wildcats 77-35. The Sailors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 22 points or more this season.

South Christian has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.9 points per game. As for Wayland, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Christian will head out to face off against Catholic Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Catholic Central will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something South Christian surely won't give up without a fight. As for Wayland, they will head out on the road to challenge West Michigan Aviation Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
