Volleyball Recap: Frederick A. Douglass Takes a Loss

Frederick A. Douglass was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 3-0 to Haynes Academy. If the Bobcats were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to Haynes Academy when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-7, 25-6.

Haynes Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ella Feehan, who had seven aces. Those seven aces gave Feehan a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of London Granados, who had six aces and three digs.

Frederick A. Douglass' defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Haynes Academy, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-1.

Looking ahead, Frederick A. Douglass will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Landry at 4:30 p.m. As for Haynes Academy, they will challenge Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
