Volleyball Recap: Mount Vernon Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Mount Vernon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Annandale Atoms. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Atoms this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 two weeks ago.

Anthony Nguyen had a dynamite game For Annandale., getting nine digs and five aces. Those five aces gave Nguyen a new career-high. James Kim also deserves some recognition as he had his first dig of the season.

Mount Vernon's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Annandale, they moved to 4-11 with that win, which also ended their three-match losing streak.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Mount Vernon will challenge rival Edison at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Annandale is set to take on their familiar foe Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
