Baseball Recap: Stranahan Takes a Loss

Stranahan lost against Northeast back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mighty Dragons came up short against the Hurricanes, falling 18-9. The Mighty Dragons just can't catch a break and have now endured seven defeats in a row.

Derek Bernard made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Shores Boyd also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Stranahan's record is now 2-7. As for Northeast, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-9.

Coming up, Stranahan will square off against Fort Lauderdale at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Northeast, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Monarch at 6:00 p.m. The Hurricanes are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
