Rimrock had lost seven straight at home dating back to last season, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 0-5 to make it eight. They lost 30-10 to the Garden Valley Wolverines. Even though they lost, the Raiders' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.2 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Trevor Carothers made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases and three runs.

As for Garden Valley, they moved to 2-5 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak. With that win, they brought their scoring average up to 9.4 runs per game.

On Garden Valley's side, Jayce Rogers made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Rogers has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with five stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI. He also put up a triple, which was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Tristin Leslie was a standout: he got on base in all six of his plate appearances with six stolen bases, five runs, and three RBI. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Hunter Lopez was another key player, getting on base in all six of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and five RBI.

Rimrock didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 30-3 defeat against North Star on the 12th. As for Garden Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 13-2 loss against Idaho City on the 14th.
