Basketball Game Preview: Boulder Creek Jaguars vs. Pinnacle Pioneers

Boulder Creek hasn't had much luck against Pinnacle recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Boulder Creek Jaguars will venture away from home to challenge the Pinnacle Pioneers at 7:00 p.m.

Boulder Creek is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Tuesday. They were outmatched by O'Connor and fell 63-28. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 209th, while the Eagles are ranked 13th).

Meanwhile, Pinnacle was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Liberty 70-42. The Pioneers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 26 points or more this season.

Boulder Creek's loss dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Pinnacle, they pushed their record up to 17-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Boulder Creek took a serious blow against Pinnacle when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 83-15. Can Boulder Creek avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
