Volleyball Recap: Riverton Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Riverton was the 2-0 winner over Mt. Pulaski when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Hawks fell just short of the Hilltoppers by a score of 2-1 on Thursday.

Riverton started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-21, 25-17.

Mt. Pulaski can attribute much of their success to Audrey Cooper, who had 15 digs. Those 15 digs gave Cooper a new career-high.

Riverton's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Mt. Pulaski, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Riverton has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against North Mac on the 2nd. As for Mt. Pulaski, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Dunlap on the 30th.
