Webster County has gone 8-2 against Trigg County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Trojans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Webster County is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games.
On Saturday, Webster County got the win against Hopkins County Central by a conclusive 10-1. Considering the Trojans have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Layla Scott made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted over her last four games. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Webster County got a big performance out of Chloe Papineau, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Raynei Roy was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Trigg County fell victim to Allen County-Scottsville and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Patriots, falling 11-0. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Webster County pushed their record up to 13-14 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Trigg County, their loss dropped their record down to 18-12.
Webster County came out on top in a nail-biter against Trigg County when the teams last played back in March, sneaking past 1-0. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
