Volleyball Recap: Baldwin Park's Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

Baldwin Park can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They came out on top against the La Puente Warriors by a score of 3-1.

Baldwin Park had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-8, 25-22, 25-11.

Erik Rosales paced Baldwin Park's offense, picking up three kills. Rosales got some help from Suni Osorto and his eight assists. Osorto was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Baldwin Park's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for La Puente, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.

Coming up, Baldwin Park will host Duarte at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games Duarte has played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for La Puente, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Workman at 3:30 p.m. on March 13th.
