The Valley View Tigers will venture away from home to square off against the Port Isabel Tarpons at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Valley View is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.

Valley View barely beat Grulla the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Valley View was the clear victor by an 11-0 margin over Grulla on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Gators: they've now won five in a row.

Jose Mirafuentes was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Diego Vega was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Port Isabel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 20-2 to La Feria.

Port Isabel's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Valley View, their win bumped their record up to 10-3.

Valley View took their victory against Port Isabel in their previous matchup on March 11th by a conclusive 21-2. Does Valley View have another victory up their sleeve, or will Port Isabel turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
