Martin came tearing into Tuesday's contest with six straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Lamar Vikings 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

One reason for the win was Martin's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-19, 25-18.

Martin got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Emma Nguyen out in front who had 19 assists and three digs. Nguyen is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last nine games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Foley, who had eight digs and six assists.

When it comes to explaining why Lamar lost, don't look at Hannah Mcwethy. Despite the final result, she had six digs and two aces.

Martin's win bumped their record up to 10-15. As for Lamar, they dropped their record down to 12-15 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Martin will face off against rival Grand Prairie at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Lamar is set to square off against their familiar foe Haltom at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
