Basketball Game Preview: Kearsley Hornets vs. Fenton Tigers

The Kearsley Hornets will venture away from home to square off against the Fenton Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fenton took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Kearsley, who comes in off a win.

Last Friday, Kearsley strolled past Swartz Creek with points to spare, taking the game 50-35. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hornets.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 34-34 at halftime, Fenton was not quite Holly's equal in the second half on Saturday. They took an 80-66 bruising from the Bronchos. While the Tigers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bronchos 17-13 in the first quarter.

Kearsley pushed their record up to 10-5 with the win, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.1 points per game. As for Fenton, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.

Kearsley took their victory against Fenton when the teams last played back in January by a conclusive 87-62. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kearsley since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
