Basketball Recap: Alcester-Hudson Takes a Loss

Alcester-Hudson lost against Garretson back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Alcester-Hudson Cubs took a 54-36 bruising from the Garretson Blue Dragons. The Cubs just can't catch a break and have now endured ten losses in a row.

Alcester-Hudson's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Garretson, their win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alcester-Hudson will welcome Irene/Wakonda at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Alcester-Hudson is facing Irene/Wakonda at the right time seeing as Irene/Wakonda is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Garretson, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Dell Rapids at 7:15 p.m. Garretson will also cruise into their next matchup with the timing on their side: Dell Rapids will have lost four straight heading into Thursday's game.
