            Softball Recap: Capuchino Mustangs vs. King's Academy Knights        
        
		
        
        
            While Capuchino put up some  runs on Thursday, the same  can't be said for King's Academy. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp  10-0 win. Considering the Mustangs have won five matchups by more than six  runs this season, Thursday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Lola Sierra made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only two  hits over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with one  home run and three  RBI. That  home run marked the first that  she has  launched this season.
 In other batting news, Capuchino got a  massive  performance out of  Star Gutierrez, who  went 1-for-3 with two  stolen bases, three  RBI,  and one  run. Gutierrez has been hot recently, having  posted three or more  RBI the last four times she's  played.  Avery Motroni also deserves some recognition as  she  snagged her first  stolen base of the season.

 Capuchino  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .645. The last time their  OBP was this high was  back in April of 2024.

 Capuchino will be taking part in a tournament against Salinas  at 10:00  a.m.  on Friday. As for King's Academy, they will face off against Willow Glen at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Knights will need to watch out since the Rams have now posted at least ten  runs  in their last three matchups.
