Baseball Recap: Lancaster Gets the Win

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Lancaster ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They skirted past the Northview Wildcats 8-7.

Lancaster's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-3. As for Northview, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.

Looking ahead, Lancaster will welcome Teays Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Golden Gales surely won't give up without a fight. As for Northview, they will head out on the road to take on Anthony Wayne at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wildcats 4, the Generals 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
