After a string of three wins, Thompson's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 45-37 to the Shades Valley Mounties.

Thompson's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Shades Valley, they pushed their record up to 8-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Thompson will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hale County at 11:30 a.m. on January 3, 2025. Shades Valley and Briarwood Christian will round out the year against one another at at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
