Baseball Recap: Central Valley Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

Central Valley waltzed into their game on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Etna Lions by a score of 12-7. For the Falcons, this counts as revenge for the 9-3 win the Lions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2025.

Jonathan Horst was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ian Woolery, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Central Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .645. They are 7-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Central Valley's record now sits at 10-5-1. As for Etna, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.

Coincidentally, Central Valley and Etna will both be playing Foothill the next time they take the field. The Falcons will head out to face the Cougars at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, while the Lions will play them later in the day, at 12:30 p.m.
