Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Simeon

Simeon had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 61-48 win over the Lindblom Eagles. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wolverines also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Despite the loss, Lindblom still got an impressive performance from William Occomy, who went 9 for 18 on his way to 25 points and five rebounds. Those five rebounds gave Occomy a new career-high. Omari Kamal was another key player, putting up eight points.

Simeon has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.9 points per game. As for Lindblom, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.

Simeon will face off against Crete-Monee at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. As for Lindblom, they will square off against New Standard Academy at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday.
