Football Recap: Legacy Tigers vs. South East Jaguars
Legacy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 26-9 to the South East Jaguars. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Jaguars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.
South East found their leader in sophomore Edward Rivera, who rushed for 202 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. Rivera is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 119 every time he's taken the field this season.
Legacy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for South East, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-3.
Legacy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 42-21 win against Garfield on the 1st. As for South East, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Palisades at 7:00 p.m. on November 8th. Palisades is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 38.3 points per game this season.
